Role: Big Data/Hadoop Developer (Kafka) Location: Louisville, KY Long Term Contract Job Description: Will be responsible for building messaging solutions using products such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, Stream Sets, and Apache HTTP etc. . Will be instrumental in providing subject matter expertise in the deployment of the Kafka Solutions within the program for enterprise data consumption . Will lead, conduct pilots, build MVPs, co-ordinates analysis, planning and implementation . Analyze, designs, codes, test, debugs, maintains, modifies and document solution that are being built to enable the integration capabilities . Provide input and thought leadership on use of shared models, topic defining standards, re-usable architecture and implementation implications . Defines system requirements , specification and customizations, identifies and resolves system problems providing leader ship and guidance to less experience staff . Build and manage the pipeline using application frameworks, implement Kafka producer and consumer applications on Kafka cluster setup, performance improvement and optimization . Utilize DevOps techniques and practices like CI/CD, test automation, build and test drive development to enable the rapid delivery of working code using different tools . Other include but are not limited to: o adopt application standards and patterns o develop cook books, run books etc. o design monitoring solutions, baseline statistics and support operationalizing solutions Experience: . 5 to 7+ years of System development experience including design, coding and testing . Minimum of 3+ years of Kafka and Kafka Streams Platform experience . Hands on experience must. . 5+ years of experience data integration and messaging technologies like IBM MQ, spring, RDFS, etc. . 2+ years of NoSQL (Couch, Mongo etc.) database and RDBMS experience (SQL Server, DB2 etc.) . 5+ Azure Cloud and hybrid cloud experience . 3+ years of API design, message and event streaming architecture constructs along with canonical modeling and technical implementation architecture .
