Job Summary

There is an opportunity available for a customer service oriented,
self-driven, and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal
candidate should possess excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
as well as a solid working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies. You
will run and expand the existing network infrastructure used by the various
labs in the Cupertino area.

 

Qualifications

*         8+ years of experience supporting LAN networking hardware

*         Experience working in a high-uptime, high-availability environment


*         Experience with designing, building / rebuilding, administering,
troubleshooting lab or data center network infrastructures (either spread L2
or standard L3 [spine / leaf] architectures)

*         Experience supporting a multi-vendor, multi-topology networking
environment that includes Arista or Cisco equipment

*         Experience with medium scale (hundreds of switches) IPv4/IPv6
topologies running BGP v4 and OSPF v2/v3

*         Experience with High Availability Design using MLAG / vPC / LACP /
MST/PVST combined with VRRP/HSRP/ VARP

*         Experience with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting
firewall infrastructures (including NAT deployments)

*         Experience using scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, bash
strongly desired

*         Experience supporting Windows environments (standard
configuration, application of patches) preferred

*         Knowledge of common application protocols like DNS, LDAP, NFS,
SNMP, NTP

*         Knowledge of configuration management and revision control
software

*         Ability to drive all aspects of brown-field network refresh
projects (act as both network admin / architect and project manager to
design, document, purchase, install, configure, troubleshoot, administer a
replacement network infrastructure on the scale of many dozen switches at a
time)

*         Ability to participate in a regular on-call rotation

 

Description:

*         Perform implementation, maintenance, monitoring, performance
analysis, proactive troubleshooting, and continual improvement of the
network infrastructure

*         Drive automation of the implementation, maintenance, and alerting
of the network environment

*         Deploy and maintain a production network infrastructure that
requires 24/7 global accessibility

*         Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce
failures, defects and improving overall performance

*         Coordinate network maintenance with systems administrators 

*         Perform tasks that require different perspectives and creative
approaches

*         Will be responsible for addressing networking issues as part of a
on-call rotation

 

Education:

*         BS/MS Degree or equivalent experience

*         CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent experience
