*This is onsite position NO remote work allowed for this position* *Description:* The *Applications Systems Specialist* will assist with creating and managing critical applications for the Office of Rural Health (ORH). (end Client) The primary purpose of this position is to provide programming for Office of Rural Health (ORH) application development and maintenance operations. The application developed will be accessible using both mobile and personal computers. This position requires an extensive level of business application knowledge, a specialized/advanced technical skill set, or extended experience in a specialized/advanced technical skill set. This position will provide rapid application development and system administration/configuration support for creating new applications. This position is required to understand advanced database concepts to create reports. This position requires independent initiative and action in decision making, analysis, design, programming, and troubleshooting arenas. Extensive experience developing CRM based solutions. Experience with various methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). *Duties also include:* Develop code for intermediate to complex modules, following documentation and development standards Support the connection to external applications if applicable Follow Change Management process Participation in tactical planning with Business Partners, Vendors, and organizational unit management Participating in project planning and estimating efforts Consultation and planning for specific modifications and enhancements to application Monitoring technical effort activities for adherence to schedules, milestones and deliverables Monitoring efforts for quality assurance and adherence to state, departmental and divisional standards and procedures Application/information system assessment and performance monitoring to avoid preventable interruption of production and to provide optimum quality service to the clients *Required/Desired Skills* *Skill* Should have the capability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Hands on experience programming in Java, Java script, C#, .NET framework, Python, PHP, HTML Experience developing CRM based solutions Extensive technical knowledge in the areas of system analysis and design of a large-scale distributed application system Strong experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Relational database management systems Senior level experience writing optimized SQL queries and analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements Experience with Reports development using any reports development tool Experience on version control systems Experience Microsoft Office suite including MS Access and Excel Experience working with Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and other browsers Experience participating or leading projects using an Agile methodology. Experience in database design and file management techniques Experience developing data transformation scripts for extract, migration, and interface needs Knowledge of Tableau Working knowledge of HL7 integration using integration engines such as Orion Rhapsody Experience working on EHR systems Experience working on mobile applications, iOS and Android operating systems Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and following complex and/or detailed technical procedures Thanks...
