PPM Tool experience Position ID : ABOJP00011089 Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Waukegan, IL Duration: 12 months+ Locals Only Automation tester - Appium & Selenium Overview: The role of Tester, is positioned within GSSO, the Global Standards and Serialization Office. This role is responsible for testing, business analysis, and support of the serialization solutions used in Abbott's lateral flow product line. Current solutions consist of TraceLink, middleware, Laetus at level 2, and the Navica application. Activities in this role will include devising the testing strategy, authoring protocols, creating data sets to be used in testing, resolution of business issues related to the operation of the serialization technology, and consultation with the IT teams for continuing operations and new implementations. This role will report to the Program Manager of Serialization and work with the Architect, BSS Primary, Business Analysts, and business contacts. Experience/Responsibilities: * 6+ years' experience with Mobile applications across both iOS & Android and web App. * 3 + Years' experience in building and executing test suites using Appium Mobile automation tool framework for various mobile apps across iOS and Android * 4+ years' experience building testing frameworks using Selenium WebDriver * Should also be able to carry out manual testing efforts as need by the project * Execute protocols/test cases to support the implementation and upgrade of serialization systems and mobile releases. * Comprehend business processes and ensures those are tested for system functionality * Builds effective relationships with cross-functional teams across product owners, SQA, Dev teams * Ability to communicate technical concepts in terms understood by the business * Participates in the analysis of client identified issues or problems, which may require changes to department procedures, standards or systems. * Effectively anticipate and evaluate the impacts of potential system issues and communicate them to the team. * Respond to problems pertaining to operations supported by the GSSO serialization team. * Document and track statistics of client requests and inquiries, coordinating appropriate responses to ensure client satisfaction. * Create process maps to record manufacturing, distribution, and logistics processes to support Abbott business. * Maintain training documentation and comply with corporate policies in the conduct of ongoing operations. Competencies: * Solid understanding of Agile SDLC and mobile app testing * Identification of desired business outcomes, translating that into testing requirements for the serialization solutions * Author the test plan and protocols, directing testing efforts based on system requirements and release notes * Participates in the analysis of client identified issues or problems, which may require changes to department procedures, standards or systems. * Comprehend business processes and ensures those are tested for system functionality * Troubleshoots the serialization system for root causes and engages the corrective action processes to resolve issues * Builds effective relationships with cross-functional teams * Ability to communicate technical concepts in terms understood by the business Preferred Qualifications: * Expertise in the operation and support of TraceLink * Well versed in GS1 standards * Ability to author training documentation * Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
