*Role: Big Data Architect or Hadoop Architect*

*Location: Princeton, NJ*

*Duration: Long Term*



*Visa : USC/GC/ H1B*

*Responsibilities:*

   - Have a significant direct client interaction, managing multiple
   projects simultaneously;
   - Work with client architects and managers to define big data technology
   roadmap;
   - Leverage knowledge of Life Sciences organizations, data and systems,
   business processes and stakeholder types to aid analyses and
   recommendations for strategic solution offerings;
   - Represent business and drive innovation, business case development,
   user needs assessment workshops and assist in technical solution vision and
   implementation plan development;
   - Establish or maintain ongoing client relationships with key business
   decision makers that drive new business development;
   - Update senior leaders, prepare and present client presentations
   - Lead technical feasibility analysis, select the technologies that
   provide the best solution and identify the products available that will
   best fit the solution proposed;
   - Manage and advise the big data needs assessment and requirements
   gathering process by meeting with stakeholders to define the technology
   requirements following business user centric design best practices;
   - Advise on Big Data technology enhancements based on experience/best
   practices, business knowledge, and gaps in current vs. future state;
   - Coach the cross-functional project team on the technology perspective
   and data domain to inform key project decisions;
   - Design the solution, taking advantage of the existing assets and
   maintaining a balance between architecture requirements and specific client
   needs
   - Research and evangelize the use of the big data technology platform
   for strategic decision-making;
   - Identify the new market trends in the industry and lead the effort to
   develop  in upcoming technologies.

*Qualifications:*

   - A bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from
   a top university; MBA is desirable;
   - Minimum 7-10 years of hands on IT services or consulting work
   experience
   - Minimum 5 years of managing large technology teams using standard
   software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology;
   - Minimum 3 years of experience in the development of open source big
   data components like: Hadoop, Flume, Hive, Spark, Sqoop, Pig, HBase;
   - Programming experience in: Java, Python, R, Pearl, Ruby, Scala;
   - Have architected and designed several end-to-end big data, cloud
   (Amazon Web Services or other), BI solutions across multiple technology and
   platforms;
   - Experience with IT organization design and management
   principles/techniques (ITIL, ITSM) as well as IT management tools(e.g.
   Mercury, PlanView, ProSight, Niku);
   - Superior verbal and written communication, organization, analytic,
   planning and leadership skills.

*Additional Skills:*

   - Thorough understanding of the design process, project management
   principles, client relationship management, and pre-sales activities;
   - Thorough understanding of client business concerns to oversee
   translation into technical inputs;
   - Proven relationship-building and maintaining skills with clients and
   across functional areas;
   - Superb verbal and written communication, organization, analytic,
   planning and leadership skills;
