Contributes to business projects by gathering requirements and designing network centered solutions to support complex product applications in an internet facing enterprise environment . Design and implement network solutions that are manageable, secure, and highly available on a variety of network platforms including datacenter LAN, WAN and Azure/Cloud . Responsibility for ensuring secure networking practices are occurring, coordinating requirements for remediation when necessary, and implementing changes where required . Self-directed coordination of implementation projects, tasks, device documentation and cross training of coworkers . Ensures that the networking environment is always improving, keeping up with company requirements, and even looking forward in order to provide additional value to the company . Maintains up-to-date network diagrams for both physical and logical layouts, to include important data flows . Develops and coordinates with others a system of automating tasks that are regularly occurring . Performs network performance testing and monitoring . Coordinates with internal security teams and business partners in relation to security assessments . Responsible for staying abreast of new developments in hardware and software technologies and making recommendations as appropriate . Accountable for preventative maintenance planning, product lifecycle planning, software and hardware update planning Secondary Duties: . Responsible for participating in remediation efforts in relation to infrastructure events as well as conducting postmortem analysis of those events and planning for prevention of future events . Coordinates with system administrators to conduct operations . Responsible for assisting with troubleshooting and solving issues with hardware, operating systems, and application layer products by working with vendors or other team members as applicable . Maintains accurate inventory for software and hardware Primary Qualifications: Able to have strong communication skills 5+ years of experience Strong experience with Azure Corporate firewall and F5 experience Ability to figure out technology . Routing protocols (BGP, IGPs) . Switching (nx-os VPC, vlan, vxlan) . Load balancing (F5, irules, advanced TLS/SSL and certificates) . Next-gen Firewall (threat, URL filtering, Palo Alto, Firepower) . LAN Software defined networking (NSX-V, NSX-T, VXLAN) . Cloud networking (virtual network privatization, PaaS connectivity and physical on-prem connectivity, Azure) . Knowledgeable in variety of vendors including Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 Networks, and management tools . Experience managing service provider connectivity and vendor relationships . Experience participating in technical change reviews and analyzing the impact of change on the environment . Demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell and/or other object-oriented scripting languages . Degree in computer science, networking or related IT field and/or 7+ years of equivalent IT experience . 5+ years of network engineering experience . Displays standard engineering principles to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input. Plans, schedules and leads project assignment, tool evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures and criteria with minimal guidance. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT. Requirements definition, architecture design, system-level test, and maintenance of new and existing products that provide communication between Windows-based and real-time embedded software products. Collaborate with others to provide analysis of proposed designs in their ability to function as intended by considering use case scenarios and various other inputs. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, for both internal and external customers. Operate within defined processes and procedures of the software development life-cycle consistent with a regulated environment. Experience in database analysis, design, and implementation using SQL Management Studio and/or other database tools. Experience in internet networking design architecture for real-time communication using HTTP, SOAP, and REST protocols *Familiar with Jama Product Development Platform Must Haves: .
