We have urgent requirement with one of our client's, please review below job description and let me know your interest Position ID: DYES00011545 Title: Electrical/Mechanical Engineer (Science and Technology Lab Engineer) Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 12 Months+ Overview: The Combination Product group within Client Science and Technology is looking for an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of physical test methods for medical device products: the creation, validation, and training. The candidate will be working with a cross functional team from various disciplines to develop physical/mechanical test methods, perform routine testing and analysis, and author protocols as well as the reports. The ideal candidate will have experience with various optical and mechanical inspection systems. A plus would be experience with programming LabView. Responsibilities: 1. Collaborating with a cross functional team and contributing on projects of varying complexity. 2. Developing and validating Physical/Mechanical Test Methods - specifically for optical and mechanical measurement test instruments. 3. Setting-up and performing experiments and document results. 4. Able to perform data analysis/trending using statistical tools. 5. Writing protocols and reports. 6. Able to troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation. 7. Responsible for compliance with all applicable Client policies and procedures. 8. Follow, understand, and comply with Client SOP's and policies on cGMP's and safety. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized working area. Qualifications: BS or MS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or and equivalent science and experience (Three to Five years of work experience). Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out job function. Assignment is set to run for 12 months but could be extended based on performance and department need. Additional Information: 1. Typically, is from Mon- Fri, 8hrs each day; however, there could be instances where additional days or hours maybe needed to complete the assignment. 3. Experience using and programing LabView and knowledge with ASTM Test Standards. 6. What is the environment that this person will be working in (i.e. group setting vs individual role)? In a lab and office setting, they will be assigned their work area: a cubical. Candidate will be working directly with one (1) supervisor but will interface with multiple individuals from the technical team. 7. Other notable details from the hiring manager about this role. This role is an on-site position with about 60% lab activities and 40% stationary activities - writing protocols and reports and analyzing data and executing studies. .
