The Individual In this role will be expected to possess strong focus on problem solving, defining requirements and delivering against aggressive timelines. Extensive development and support experience combined with a broad working knowledge of the latest technologies are necessary to succeed in this position. Key Responsibilities • Responsible for proprietary VB.NET-based web and console applications utilized in order processing environment, including requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, testing and support. • Designing, developing and support of .NET-based SOAP and REST interfaces across the enterprise. • Design and Implement APIs with Internal and external systems. • Perform preventative maintenance on applications and servers for all pointes of failure in supported business systems. • Monitor and tune performance of business system applications and processes. • Deliver on tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals. • Communicating progress and status to team lead and rest of the team. Job Specifications/Qualifications Knowledge / Experience 5+ years in .NET programming (VB.NET, ASP.NET), designing & developing both web- and console-based applications. Experience in middleware applications is a plus. • 3+ years of experience with SOAP and REST interfaces, both a server and client. • Strong SQL skills, including DBA functions (building tables, stored procedures, etc.). • Experience in writing and calling APIs (internal and external) • Exposure to .NET-based image processing & manipulation toolkits, as well as Adobe Photoshop scripting is a plus. • Thorough understanding of servers, PCs, networks, operating systems and system administration. • Experience administrating Windows IIS. • Expert with HTML, CSS, JavaScript. • Proven ability to gather and understand requirements from non-technical users. • Effective communication skills in order to develop system manuals and documentation. • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, new concepts and changing priorities. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to "think outside the box". • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to function both individually and as part of a team. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to "rtc-linux".
