Architect - Solution Reliability Engineering Delivery (Glow Networks, 3472) Reston/Denver Denver (Littleton Open What You'll Do * Actively support and lead the planning, design, implementation and integration of recently released software solutions in customer environments. * Drive solution delivery improvements through automation, testing and best practices implementation to optimize deployments, accelerate customer value-realization and improve overall online service reliability. * Practice SRE delivery principles, including building CI/CD pipelines and measure KPIs via Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreement (SLAs). * Interact with professional services delivery, product management, and BU teams to integrate automation in our offers to improve quality and customer experience. * Collaborate in transformational initiatives to define and improve new delivery methodologies in accordance with DevOps and SRE models * Mentor early in career engineers to enable new capabilities, evangelize best practices and accelerate delivery readiness Who We are * A software engineer and/or a scripting-savvy *nix system administrator who hates the monotony and boredom of manual tasks and you love the challenge of taking the most complex manual procedures and automating them. * You could also be an "Ops" professional that can seek out and anticipate problems before they happen and take action to avoid them. * You continuously expand your skillset to include new tools and approaches. * You enjoy working with others in a diverse environment, locally and remotely. * You have a deep interest in automating deployments, so they are clean, predictable and repeatable with minimal impact to availability. * You know what metrics may be useful to track for the operations team and you will set standards for the development teams to follow to ensure adequate instrumentation. * You embrace modern DevOps principles and practices. * You understand the principles of configuration management and release engineering. * You possess deep analytical and problem-solving skills when required to assist with service recovery in the event of failure. Minimum Qualifications * 10+ years' experience after a B.S or M.S in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. * Hands on SRE experience desirable. * Subject matter expertise across 2 or more of the following areas: release engineering, incident management, monitoring, self-service automation, change management, performance and/or chaos engineering. * Understanding of networking and software defined implementations (SDN). * Produced or contributed to public body of work around automation (GitHub repo, blog, open-source project). * Ability to define good SLI, SLO and error budget to maintain reliability of any system. * Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap add value and improve reliability on a software solution. Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies (e.g. Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Networking, etc.), and Application Development and DevOps technologies (e.g. App Service, containers, serverless, cloud native, etc.) as appropriate * Enterprise-scale technical experience with public and private cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management required. Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud) required * Experience mentoring others to develop programmability and automation skills * Good oral and written communication skills, comfortable with groups of people * Fluent in English (oral and written skills) * Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial oversight * CCIE (Security, Data Center), DevNet Specialist, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP or Azure certifications preferred * Strong technical expertise in one of Security, Cloud or Data Center technologies is required. * Subject matter expertise in software development, programmability, automation and DevOps related tools with a minimum of 2 years of experience in 3 or more of the following areas: * Automation and Analytics tools: Ansible, Splunk * Linux and Virtualization: VMware, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, KVM, Vagrant, LXC * Programming Languages/Version Control: Python, Go, JavaScript, Angular, NodeJS and Git * Data base: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, MySQL * APIs and Encoding: XML, JSON, YANG, YAML, REST, RESTCONF, NETCONF * CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, Jenkins * Orchestration : Camunda * Monitoring solutions: AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Influx DB * Cloud : AWS, GCP, Azure * Data Center Technical Expertise - UCS, HX, ACI, Storage, and/or Nexus * Security Technical Expertise - SecureX, CTR, AMP, Umbrella, NGFW, SNORT Info Need For Client Submission: .
