Role: Java Architect Location: Chicago, IL (remote for now) Long Term Contract Job Description: * Hands on Experience with creating requirements documents, analyzing and designing state architecture of the enterprise. Proactively identify opportunities for future service optimizations. * Well versed with defining integration and security feature design for Enterprise Web Services and micro components. * Create and Review Service Design Documents, Service physical Document and define Service SLAs in Non-functional requirements along with collecting and providing estimates for it. Skills & Experience required: * 12 plus years of experience in defining solution architecture for large enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, SOA Webservices (SOAP and REST), ESBs, Open Source products, and strong working knowledge of SOA, SOAP, WSDL, Service Orchestration, Business Process Choreography, BPEL, Spring MVC and JSON. * Hands On Experience building scalable and distributed systems * Strong knowledge on design and integration patterns especially in applications involving Webservices Security using WS-Security, SAML, Kerberos. * Strong understanding of Object Oriented design methodologies and design patterns. * Understanding and practical experience of messaging systems - like Apache Kafka, JMS, MQTT, RabbitMQ. * Keeping Aligned with new and emerging technologies and the potential application on service offerings and products. * Proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, Data Modeling, Business Intelligence reporting, Systems Architecture and MPP systems. * Experience working with multi-vendor, multi-culture, distributed offshore and onshore development teams in dynamic and complex environments. * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
