We have urgent requirement with one of our client's, please review below job description and let me know your interest Position ID: DYESJP00015025 Title: Business Data Analyst (Power BI & ServiceNow) Location: Lake County, IL Duration: 12 Months+ Locals Only (onsite work Required from Day1) Description Details Hard Skills . Write requirements and documentation. . Experience building Reports/Dashboards using Agile methodologies. . Understanding of Microsoft Power BI desktop and other popular BI tools . Hands-on experience in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects . Experience in connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence . Proficient in both Power BI languages - M and DAX . Experience in developing user-friendly and insightful visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop . Develop (create new and update existing), publish, schedule reports and dashboards . Experience in designing, implementing, and executing test cases . Assist business users with using published reports/dashboard and performing ad hoc data analysis. . Provide input on level of detail needed to outline report designs . Offer best-practice recommendations for creating reports and dashboards within Power BI . Participate in creating internal documentation. . BSA Resource requires advanced Microsoft Excel skills. . Must be able to create Pivot Tables and use VLOOKUP's to merge / determine variables between sheets, etc. . Capabilities to access databases and have a strong understanding of SQL (2-3 yrs). . Must be able to connect to datasets and build interactive reports. Soft Skills . Share's information and knowledge freely, offering support and cooperation . Anticipates problems, resistance or likely objections and takes action to resolve them. . Interacts well on teams and can also work independently . Executes duties in a timely, efficient manner EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: . Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field. . 4+ years development experience with Microsoft Power BI . 1-2 years' experience in writing SQL (or similar) Experience with ServiceNow (ITSM) in extracting data is desired. Will pull data from different sources together to produce metric reports for senior management. The resource must be capable of needing minimal instruction, able to work independently, good communication skills and ability to capture reporting requirements and create reports. 1. Advanced Power BI skills: excel pivot tables, formula writing (VLOOKUP), figure-making; database access capabilities: Structured Query Language (SQL) for query writing 2. What type of environment is this person working in? small team, collaborative/iterative, partly remote / partly in-person, quick turnaround, highly-visible products, senior executive customers 4. Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required? If yes, how many hours, what impact to scheduled working hours? 5 days, 40 hrs per week, overtime possible but shouldn't be required 5. Does this position offer the ability to work remotely on a regular basis or is it an on-site role? If remote opportunity exists, what are the options (i.e. 1 day remote, 4 days on-site)?
