Title: SAP Solution Architect
Length of Contract: 6 months
Location/Site: Lake County, IL
Local preferred (Hybrid Remote role 2-3
Onsite work Required)
Job Description:
Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that systems support
the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
Defines systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required
integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Defines
technical standards and functionality tests. May develop specifications,
prototypes, or initial user guides.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in
the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's
concepts, practices, and procedures. Generally supports mainstream skills or
common packages/platforms, such as Datawarehousing, DW/BI Architecture,
Informatica, AWS, QlikView, Solution Architect. Relies on extensive experience
and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated
tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and
latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department or top
management.

What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?
Great communicator with the ability to effectively lead technical discussions
involving multiple teams and levels of technical proficiency. Must be able to
effectively communicate in both in-person as well as remote scenarios.
IT Generalist with an understanding of a wide array of technical concepts and
approaches
Good understanding of integration technologies including REST/SOAP/JSON and the ability to design and
troubleshoot integration architecture and endpoints
Proficiency with B2B systems and operations, particularly indirect
procurement and ordering systems
Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and constraints
What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience,
education, or certification?
Experience with SAP SRM & S4, SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing,
Jaggaer RMM
or similar solutions
Familiarity using a variety of SDLC
frameworks
Familiarity with the operations of a scientific research environment
Experience with common project management and collaboration toolsets such as
Jira, Confluence, MS Teams and others

No overtime required.
