Description:
Disaster
Recovery - Business Systems Consultant
Specific
responsibilities include:
Work within application SMEs to design, document and implement application
disaster recovery strategies.
Develop respective application recovery plan, application test scripts
including business use test scripts for both invocation and application testing
Identify and document recovery gaps or issues
Prepare educational materials and conduct workshops with business and IT
owners, application SMEs on roles and responsibilities for testing application
recovery and invocation preparedness including expectations
Coordinate/Facilitate testing for newly provisioned system strategies
Support and assist in disaster recovery exercises where assigned applications
are in scope
Assist with issue management and resolution activities
Provides off-hours support as required for recovery exercises and invocation,
if needed
Participate in projects to provide IT continuity expertise and direction at
the IT Function / business unit level
Create project plans, documents, and presentations regarding resiliency
planning and disaster recovery
Required
Skills
At least 5-10 years of information technology experience
Technical writer
IT Disaster Recovery background
AWS/Azure Regional DR cloud experience (preferred with at least 1 candidate)
Need to understand cross platform functionality
Highly effective at verbal and non-verbal communication
Effective at managing multiple projects, efforts, and priorities concurrently
Education and
Experience
Bachelors plus 4 plus years in business continuity or disaster recovery
management is desired
Certified Business Continuity Planner designation desired but not required
Service Now experience preferred
Fusion Framework experience preferred
