Summary:
Pharmaceutical client is looking for a Business System Consultant to be part of
its Access and Reimbursement Strategy organization committed to better serve
our patients.
This position is expected to conceive, evaluate, consult on, and implement data
and software solutions that solve significant business problems, generate new
proposals, and lead the implementation efforts. This person will also
investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that
drive productivity and efficiency gains across systems of engagement for
Patient Services Access and Reimbursement.
We are looking for a Business System Consultant that is detail oriented,
flexible when faced with change, able to manage multiple tasks and projects,
skilled at building relationships with clients and internal team members,
thrives in a fast-paced work environment, and understands or can learn the
Access and Reimbursement business needs. This candidate will have many
opportunities to impact business process and company success. This is a
consultative position with accountability for product quality that requires the
ability to motivate and mentor project team members.
Key Responsibilities Includes:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies
and procedures.
Consults with functional areas to develop understanding of the varied and
complex business needs of our supported stakeholders. Helps to determine how
changing business needs will be met. Understands the role of the Access &
reimbursement team in the big picture and provides ideas and recommendations
regarding the evolution of capabilities.
Identifies IT capabilities and information required to support the business
processes and collaborates in the development of appropriate information
management strategies, developing them as an integrated part of the business
strategy.
Conducts research, gathers business demands and develops detailed
documentation related to the business demands and technical solutions.
Provides technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies
or services and their business impact.
Creates and manages relationships with key stake holders within BTS and the
Business to understand the organizations business strategy, specific business
processes, and provide relevant updates.
Independently performs analysis and collaborates with vendor partners to
implement data, software, or technology solutions to deliver precise, reliable,
and reproducible products in a timely manner, under the direction of business
partners.
Works effectively with team/group to accomplish organizational goals.
Provides leadership to project planning.
Effectively manage communications and expectations with internal and external
stakeholders
Work as a team player and leader to effectively coordinate across functional
teams
Collaborates with Product/Project Management to balance product vision and
voice of customer to recommend and deliver best-in-class solutions
Develops documentation that accurately reflects client needs and is clearly
defined for Development and QA teams (i.e. business requirements, user stories,
functional specifications, test plans, business process flows, etc.)
Performs as subject matter advisor to less experienced team members. May
participate in teaching and training members of work team.
Collaborates with stakeholders, internal teams, vendors on the evaluation of
the feasibility, effort, and costs to implement requirements.
Driving and holding internal groups / teams or vendors to a higher standard
while meeting the desired outcome for organization.
Qualifications & Experience:

5+ years of experience in software development projects, including client
facing projects
Proficiency with MS Office suite of products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook,
etc.)
Pharmacy industry experience preferred (Preferably access and reimbursement
or patient services)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, Ability to share creative and
new ideas, Organizational and time management skills, Continuous process
improvement skills
Partnering and problem-solving mindset
Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills, with proven ability working in a
cross functional environment.
Agile software development experience, preferably Product Owner
Project management Experience preferred
Interview Process
o 1-2 interviews dependent on the number of candidates. When many candidates
are deemed qualified for interviews the first interview will be with Matt
Carlson, and the second will be with Matt and Vaibhav. If there are few
qualified candidates the first interview will be with Matt & Vaibhav to
reduce interviews.
