Position: Big Data Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 9+ Months Contract
Job Description:
*Required Skills*
*Scala Azure data engineering (specifically with Databricks, ADLS, and
Synapse) Spark experience building out ETL processes/pipelines for machine
learning models*
*Basic Qualifications*
*5+ years of data engineering experience 3+ years of Azure data engineering
w/ Scala, Databricks, Spark, ADLS (or HDFS), Synapse Experience building
out ETL pipelines/processes for machine learning models (Azure ML
experience preferred)*
*Additional Skills*
*MongoDB or some other NoSQL document database PowerBI or similar data
visualization tools Azure administration (admin of security policies,
resource management, etc.)*
*Big Data Engineer *
- Perform data validation and support analytical requests
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Significant experience (3+ years) working with Azure, Scala,
Databricks, Spark, ADLS/HDFS, NoSQL(DocumentDB), Data
Warehouse(SqlDW/Synapse), Azure Devops
- Intermediate experience with Azure ML Studio, Azure Machine Learning
- Validate canonical data models and legacy customer valuation
replication
- Support analytical requests and perform summary analyses including raw
analysis, presentation of results and the creation of recommendations
- Experience creating visualization of data in PowerBI (designing data
models, creating dashboards, documenting build processes)
- Intermediate experience with Azure administration including:
- Administration of security policies & audits
- Resource management (utilization, optimization, auditing)
- Azure cost tracking, management, reporting, and analysis
