This is a new position within the Enterprise Data Operations (EDO) group
supporting the Data Enablement initiative. This role will be supporting 2
applications (one COTS, one custom development) and supporting operational
activities for the EDO team.
The COTS application is a data science analytics platform. This role will be
providing internal end user support including POC/on-boarding support for new
teams, tracking customer requests, and supporting upgrades.
The custom developed application is a new interface to an existing COTS
applications (Alation). This role will be provide BSA support for documentation
& IT change management processes, end user support, and working with
communications lead on creation & maintaining end user communications.
Operational activities will include producing weekly and monthly reports based
on existing reports.

Primary
Needs:
Position will reside within the Innovation, Architecture, and Infrastructure
team at Pharmaceutical client.
This project aims to implement a new single screen/dashboard of Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs), which will display specific pre-defined metrics
to be presented on a Power BI dashboard. These metrics are currently gathered
by different Infrastructure monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds and NetScout.
The desire is to merge to a single screen/dashboard of these KPI metrics.
We require an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager who understands
the basics of both Infrastructure and Infrastructure monitoring tools, such as
SolarWinds, NetScout, Power BI, SDWAN, LAN, WAN, Wireless etc.
Candidate should be an experienced (8-11 years required) Project Manager with
a focus on Infrastructure project management, with demonstrated knowledge of
Infrastructure monitoring tools and metrics, as well as Power BI.
Specific duties and tasks of the role will include:
1. Work closely with Network & Infrastructure Tools (SolarWinds/NetScout),
Power BI teams and other subject matter experts to strategize delivery of
relevant / designed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
2. Collaborate with those teams to design solutions for relevant KPIs on a
Power BI dashboard
3. Collaborate with those teams, as well as stakeholders and other consumers of
KPIs to adjust strategy and/or design
4. Collaborate with those teams to capture requirements for relevant KPIs
5. Collaborate with those teams to mockup or prototype relevant KPIs
6. Collaborate with those teams to introduce mockups, prototypes, or alpha and
beta releases of dashboard
7. Collaborate with those teams to collect feedback, enhancements, errors
and/or clarifications
8. Collaborate with those teams to implement feedback, enhancements, correct
errors and/or provide clarifications
9. Collaborate with those teams to introduce beta and follow-on releases
10. Collaborate with those teams to repeat steps 6 9 for further releases
11. Document lessons learned from the activities above for future projects in
this space in future periods
Strong project management skillset needed, including proven ability to lead
and drive project success.
Should be well organized with the ability to review and track the project
schedule end to end.
Must be a self-starter and be able to communicate to leadership.
Will conduct meetings with project team members and key stakeholders,
publishing meeting minutes.
Will manage weekly and monthly progress reporting, as well as tracking
project financials for budget adherence.
Candidate must possess strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication
skills given the potential for senior executive interactions.
Will work with a matrixed Pharmaceutical client team. There is no expectation
of managing Pharmaceutical client vendors for this role.
Fully remote acceptable, with expectation candidate will work hours aligned
with a Lake County, IL team based in the Central Time Zone.

Lead all aspects of the project lifecycle, working with project sponsors/key
stakeholders, team members, and management to oversee all phases of project
completion.

resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of the
project.
Ensure transparent reporting of project status, issues, risks, and
financials.
The individual will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish

Specific
Responsibilities:
Drive Project Success and Completion: Understand and drive leadership of the
project to success. Build key relationships with stakeholders, mentor team
members and demonstrate leadership at all levels.
Initiate and Plan Project: Works with business and IT management to establish
and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, financials, and deliverables.
Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks
will affect the project, working with business and IT management and sponsor to
gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance to assure the project is
progressing as compared to original plan and budget.
Executing and Closing Project: Develops and executes a work plan obtaining
authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Leads team in
delivering project scope. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project
approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
Project Communication: Communicate project progress by producing project
reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support
information to project teams, business, and IT management. Makes
recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues and manage
risks.
Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure project needs
are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members
based upon their abilities. Motivates project team to deliver project outcomes.
Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and
functional policies and procedures.
Decisions: Make decisions that impact project level activities.
Drive Continuous Improvement of Project Process and Governance: Will
continually examine Plans/Risks/Issues to identify gaps in project
communication or process, and holding project team accountable for improvement,
to drive proactive solutions as the project is ongoing. Escalate issues that
need Permanent Process changes.
