We have urgent requirement with one of our Direct clients (No hidden Layers) , please review below job description and let me know your interest Position ID: DYESJP00018167 Title: Infrastructure Project Manager Location: North Chicago, IL Duration: 12 Months+ Locals only - Hybrid Remote (3days onsite-2days remote per week) Description: Leads and Managers Mainstream IV DII3 - China Primary Needs: * Position will reside within the Innovation, Architecture, and Infrastructure (IAI) team at Pharmaceutical client. * We require a Project Manager to run the Infrastructure-team portion of a Phramaceutical client Commercial-run project based out of China. * Legislation exists requiring Phramaceutical client to position applications in China, where the applications are utilized for China (must reside in-country). This project will meet the requirements of this legislation in China, bringing with it a significant infrastructure component to support the effort. * There will be 2 parallel activities to the project: o The setup of the Azure Cloud Tennant. o The build out of a Carrier Neutral Facility (CNF). o (While overall, these 2 activities will run simultaneously, the Azure Cloud Tennant portion will begin first.) * Regarding the Azure Cloud Tenant, prior experience leading Cloud projects (preferably around Microsoft Azure) will gain first look. * Regarding the buildout from scratch of the supporting infrastructure utilizing a CNF, there will be multiple tracks/workstreams that will include tasks needed to stand up a CNF, such as networks, hosting, facilities, cloud, vendor management, as well as working with our Phramaceutical client management teams that possess a stake in the success of the project. * Candidate should be an experienced Project Manager with documented Infrastructure project management experience of at least 5-10 years. * Strong project management skillset needed, including proven ability to lead and drive project success. * Should be well organized with the ability to review and track the project schedule end to end. * Must be a self-starter, able to manage a variety of projects, and be able to communicate to leadership. * Will conduct meetings with project team members and key stakeholders, publishing meeting minutes. * Will manage weekly and monthly progress reporting, as well as tracking project financials for budget adherence. * Candidate must possess strong interpersonal, coordination, collaboration, and communication skills, given the level of project complexity involved, as well as high degrees of change, business strategic impact, and senior executive interactions that are involved with the project. * Will work with a matrixed Phramaceutical client team, as well as an estimated 3-5 Phramaceutical client vendors, which could include providers dealing with internet and data service, cloud, data centers, application/software integration, equipment. * Fully remote acceptable, with expectation candidate will work hours aligned with a Lake County, IL team based in the Central Time Zone. * Because much of the infrastructure buildout will be in the Republic of China, some off hour calls with the local Phramaceutical client team may be required. * Contract to run from candidate's start date through 12/31/23. * Applicants must be U.S.-based and able to work full time. * Will execute and deliver in line with below expectations. Expectations: * Develop, execute, and manage project(s) within the defined scope. * Lead all aspects of the project lifecycle, working with project sponsors/key stakeholders, team members, and management to oversee all phases of project completion. * Build and manage project's work breakdown structure, milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of the project. * Ensure transparent reporting of project status, issues, risks, and financials. * The individual will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Performs a variety of tasks. * May lead and direct the work of others. * Be able to work under general supervision. * A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Specific Responsibilities: * Drive Project Success and Completion: Understand and drive leadership of the project to success. Build key relationships with stakeholders, mentor team members and demonstrate leadership at all levels. * Initiate and Plan Project: Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, financials, and deliverables. * Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect the project, working with business and IT management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget. * Executing and Closing Project: Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Leads team in delivering project scope. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders. * Project Communication: Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to project teams, business, and IT management. Makes recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues and manage risks. * Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities. Motivates project team to deliver project outcomes. * Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and functional policies and procedures. * Decisions: Make decisions that impact project level activities. * Drive Continuous Improvement of Project Process and Governance: Will continually examine Plans/Risks/Issues to identify gaps in project communication or process, and holding project team accountable for improvement, to drive proactive solutions as the project is ongoing. Escalate issues that need Permanent Process changes. Qualifications: * Primary Needs on page 1. * Prior experience leading Cloud projects (preferably around Microsoft Azure) will gain first look. * Prior experience supporting infrastructure projects and tasks needed to stand up a CNF, such as networks, hosting, facilities, cloud, vendor management. * Candidate should be an experienced Project Manager with documented Infrastructure project management experience of at least 5-10 years. * Applicants must be U.S.-based and able to work full time. * Fully remote acceptable, with expectation candidate will work hours aligned with a Lake County, IL team based in the Central Time Zone. * Because much of the infrastructure buildout will be in the Republic of China, some off hour calls with the local Phramaceutical client team may be required.
