- Working with business stakeholders to define requirements - Creating conceptual and technical designs Developing prototypes and programs Defining and execute unit and integration tests - Resolving defects Executing an implementation plan Providing support. - Required Skills/Experience: 10 years programming experience - Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent of *Job Description:* - Ability to communicate business benefit of technical solutions/decisions. - Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, integrate solutions and handle data conversions and migrations. - Experience with multiple development platforms, programming languages, and third party software solutions. - In depth Knowledge of AS/400 Architecture, RPGLE, RPG/400 , COBOL-400, SQLRPGLE, Free Format RPG, Change Management Tool – Turnover, Knowledge of IFS in AS/400. - Analysis of enhancement requests raised by business users and bringing out technologically feasible solutions. - AS400 developer with programming expertise on all versions of RPG IV (RPG/ILE) Control Language (CL) IBM iSeries (AS/400) V7R3 DB2 - Strong DB2/400 knowledge and working experience with Turnover change management tool. - Test, codes, debugs, installs, and maintains databases, and applications using best software development practices. - Works with the business groups in developing specifications and requirements based on technical and business needs. Serves as a technical resource in developing application strategies. - Creates and maintains software documentation. - Monitors and maintains system programs to ensure applications are performing efficiently and according to specifications. - Analyzes, investigates, and solves problems associated with the different databases and applications. - Researches alternative technologies in support of continuous improvements of the applications. Learns programming design techniques by and application systems by performing maintenance, solving assigned problems, and coding. - Acquires business knowledge related to the application systems.
