*Duration: Long Term* *Note:* We are specifically looking for Sybase to SQL migration experience. This role will also be key to creating the strategy in the consolidation effort, so they need to be very well versed in these technologies. *Job description : * We have an immediate need for an experienced Database Migration Project Manager for our Managed Services team based in the United States. fully remote. As project manager, you will lead and manage projects through their full lifecycle from requirements gathering through to deployment and acceptance and be responsible for their successful completion. *Responsibilities:* - Managing and leading project teams - Detailed project planning and control including: - Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan - Task follow up with Engineers/DBAs - Managing project prerequisites and deliverables in line with the project plan, cost and schedule - Is able to communicate effectively at all levels effectively internally and with our client - Is able to communicate and escalate issues and concerns impacting the deliverable. - Assess risk and create mitigation plans to eliminate or minimize the risk - Managing project scope and facilitating both operational and scope change control process - Monitoring project progress and performance - Providing status reports to the project sponsor and within Spinnaker - Manage the relationship with the client during these projects ensuring that there is strong and frequent communication between the customer and the project team - Liaison with, and updates progress to, senior management - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously - Produces Project Realization Reports for post project analysis - You will also ensure that the agreed deployment schedule is met and that acceptance and handover is successful *Skill Requirements:* - Bachelors degree or higher - PMP Certification would be preferred - 5-10 years in direct project management roles - 5-10 years database administrator experience - Experience of database migrations at scale - Thorough working knowledge of SQL Server Thanks Ramesh -- You received this message because you are subscribed to "rtc-linux".
