We have urgent requirement with one of our Direct client's (No hidden Layers) , please review below job description and let me know your interest Position ID: DYESJP00021548 Title: Windows Engineer / Office 365 /Subject Matter Expert (SME) Duration: 12 months Location/Site: North Chicago, IL Locals preferred - Hybrid Remote Role Description: Subject Matter Expert in the area of network data analysis using enterprise tools like NetScout: * Utilize Wireshark, NetScout and Riverbed to analyze Enterprise level applications * Lead troubleshooting sessions with application and business owners utilizing a standard process * Be an escalation point for Operations to troubleshoot business outages requiring packet analysis toolsets Purpose: Provides in-depth technical expertise & direction in the implementation and support of monitoring infrastructure in the area of application/systems/network monitoring, dashboard requirements and processes (e.g. new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions. Responsibilities: * Subject Matter Expert on various monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds, NetScout, APM applications, etc.), and growing and maintaining the monitoring application. Infrastructure. Work with the Network/Systems/Applications teams to ensure that their environment has the required monitoring. * Collaborates with Infrastructure and Application Owners to implement custom application monitors * Develop, support, and manage complex Alerts, Reports, and Views Ability to understand and customize SQL queries and stored procedures. *Evaluate monitoring tools; recommend new software, utilities, and tools. *Aid in setting the strategy for implementing new technologies. Qualifications: *Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer engineering. Equivalent experience is defined as six years combined experience in the above areas. *5-8 years of combined experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer engineering (in addition to equivalent experience listed above, if applicable). *3-5 years of managing infrastructure monitoring tools, troubleshooting and understand system faults and application performance issues. INTAKE CALL NOTES: * Location/Site: J41 * If Hybrid schedule; specifics: 3 days onsite/2 days remote (not negotiable) Years of experience/education and/or certifcations required: * 5+ years of managing infrastructure monitoring tools, troubleshooting and understand system faults and application performance issues. * Potential to go perm but in order to do so would need degree What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have? * Network configuration management (solar winds, netscout, etc) * If Netscout exp- that person would take preference * Has enterprise monitoring tool experience What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification? * Degree (needs to have to be considered for FTE conversion) * Pharma experience Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required?
