so I'm creating this one.
I have been searching for some info on this beyond bugzilla without much
luck

but first i would like to check if the implementation and testing of
newlib locking would be suitable for a GSoC project?
If so, where can I find an updated list of locks currently implemented
in newlib? Or info on the newlib lock API?
