from pigskin post: SEC Questions for Thought - Dean Jolley - SEC Columnist - 10/28/01 -
I’m going to ask 15 questions. I’ll let you decide the answers. Question 1: How many of you thought Ole Miss would be able to run the ball as well as they did against LSU? Q2: Would Carnell Williams have managed to beat Arkansas by himself, if he could have just gotten rid of Daniel Cobb and Noel Mazzone? Q3: What will it take to get South Carolina over Rocky Top and thru the Swamp? Q4: How much of a finger tip does a receiver need to get on a ball to be awarded a catch in the endzone by SEC officials? Q5: Why is Eli Manning so good? Nature or nurture? Q6: Who’ll win the SEC West? Does anyone really want it? Q7: Will Jackie Sherrill’s boys win an SEC game this year? Q8: Why do Auburn defenders tackle the way an embarrassed boy dances his first dance with a girl—arms extended straight, body held away from body? Q9: Does Tennessee win this year with great talent and mediocre coaching or with great coaching and mediocre talent? Q10: Why does Georgia’s defense look so much like LSU’s? Q11: Did Alabama beat Bye or did they collapse late? When will Watts complete his third fourth-quarter pass? Q12: Is Huston Nutt really that annoying, or is it just that he’s a little too earnest? (The guy talks like a female Victorian missionary.) Q13: Can Tommy Tuberville really do that to a referee and get away with it? (Tell us what you really think of the officiating, Tommy!) Q14: Is the Vandy-Duke game over? Did even the players stay until the end? Q15: Who’s the player of the year so far in the SEC? --I’ll give you my answer to this one: Eli Manning.
