Here is a quick and easy server Perl script that will separate text from HTML tags and MIME attachments:
http://www.phred.org/~alex/stripmime.html It works for my computer monkey. He only needed 15 minutes to implement it. Win 2000 fully supports Perl scripts. BTW - Most e-mailers do *default* to HTML (or RTF) but can easily be changed to 'text only' or 'plain text'.
