Alabama series vs. PSU in jeopardy By Rob Biertempfel TRIBUNE-REVIEW Friday, June 20, 2003 Alabama will drop off Penn State's football schedule in 2004, and will be replaced by Central Florida. Thursday, UCF sports information director John Marini confirmed a plan is in place for the Golden Knights to make their second visit to Beaver Stadium on Sept. 18, 2004 -- the same day Alabama had been slated to play the Nittany Lions. A few details -- including fitting in another UCF-Penn State game sometime between 2005 and 2009 -- still must be worked out before the contract is finalized.
