~~~But my feelings don't matter because Moore has the right to do that. Just
like he has the right to put that monument of the Ten Commandments in there,
hang Daniel Moore paintings on the walls, etc. Now if someone can convince
me that Moore doesn't have that right, then I'll look at it differently. As
it stands now, all I see is a person's rights being taken away from them.~~~
How is it his right to put up a religious monument in a state judicial
building?
What if you were standing in front of Judge Muhammed Achmed, accused of some
crime and sentenced to death...and you were an avowed Christian, and Judge
Achmed was a devout Muslim who had placed a large monument to the Koran in
the lobby and basically said that he would base all his legal decisions on
that Koran?
Our nation has been set up such that GOVERNMENT shouldn't endorse, tacitly
or openly, any ONE religion, thus guaranteeing freedom for ALL religions.
The building isn't Moore's personal quarters--it's OUR building. He has no
right to move in and decorate it as he wishes.
