Mississippi State University Director of Athletics Larry
Templeton announced Wednesday that the NCAA has notified school officials that the national organization would proceed with the ongoing examination of the Bulldog football program.
"Mississippi State received the attached letter this past weekend from the NCAA extending the preliminary inquiry into our football program," Templeton said.
"We will continue to cooperate fully with the NCAA staff as the review continues. Due to the fact that there are no new issues at this time that I am aware of, we will have no further comment."
