You must believe that the Europeans and the UN are the epitome of morality and ethics despite their unexplained failure the acknowledge the genocide in Rawanda, the extreme human rights abuses by Arab Islamists in the Sudan, Arab Islamist attacks against Israeli civilians, involvement in the pilfering of funds from the Oil-for-Food Project, overt anti-Semitism and the fact that the Sudan and Cuba are "respected" members of the UN Commission on Human Rights. 2. You must believe that President Bush is the anti-Christ, and at the same time, far too Christian to be an effective leader. 3. You must believe that President Bush is evil enough to have lied to the American people about the Iraqi WMD threat, but is not evil enough to have planted WMD so as to prove his case. 4. You must believe that Swiftboat Veterans for Truth operate under the auspices of the Republican Party and the White House, but MoveOn.org, International ANSWER, NAACP, NOW, Michael Moore, George Soros, MTV's Rock the Vote, Americans Coming Together, Rainbow Coalition et al., are merely concerned citizens operating totally independent of the Democratic Party and the Kerry-Edwards campaign. 5. You must believe that increasing the amount of money spent on any government program in an amount less than expected is a "spending cut." 6. You must believe that standardized tests are culturally biased because African-Americans and Latino Americans perform poorly as compared to Whites and Asian-Americans, but you can't explain why Asian, African and East Indian immigrants outperform everyone. 7. You must believe that President Bush should have acted on intelligence everyone agreed was inconclusive with respect to terrorist threats prior to 9/11 but should not have acted on intelligence everyone believed was conclusive with respect to Iraqi WMD. 8. You must believe that the statement, "The USA, UK and Israel is the real Axis of Evil," (sign regularly seen at anti-Bush/anti-War protests) is an example innocent of free-speech whereas the statement, "There is a huge gap between us (Jews) and our enemies _not just in ability but in morality, culture, sanctity of life, and conscience (Israeli president Moshe Katsav. You must believe that films that feature cigarette smoking should be rated "R" to protect children, but programs featuring graphic/foul language, sex and/or violence do not have an influencing effect on children. After all it's the parents' responsibility. 10. You must believe that it is wrong to pass judgment on others, which is why Christians and Conservatives who reject homosexuality are evil. 11. You must believe that deliberately targeting civilians for mass-murder is a legitimate act of a desperate people but inadvertently injuring a civilian while targeting a criminal is a crime against humanity. 12. You must believe that substantially increasing the amount of money spent on schools will improve education but substantially reducing the amount of money spent on defense will have no effect on national security. 13. You must believe that a 14-year old girl is too young to consent to sexual intercourse with an 18 year-old male (statutory rape) but a 14 year-old girl is old enough to make an informed decision regarding birth-control and abortion (right to privacy). 14. You are thoroughly convinced that Oil companies are gouging the public when gasoline prices are rising but you can't explain their motivation when gas prices decline. 15. You believe in a broad and expansive interpretation of the 1st Amendment and that it was intended to encompass things never envisioned by the Founders, but the 2nd Amendment should only be interpreted with respect to the times in which it was drafted. 16. You must believe that there is a Social Security Trust Fund. 17. You must believe that John Kerry's gratuitous use of foul language during an interview is perfectly reasonable (Rolling Stone, 12/03) yet Dick Cheney's use of an expletive during a private conversation following a personal (verbal) attack, is a sign of moral decay and the end of civility. 18. You believe that the federal government is bloated, wasteful and cannot be trusted but you are willing to trust the federal government with your healthcare. 19. You believe that the Patriot Act is the greatest threat to civil liberties since Abraham Lincoln suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus during the Civil War even though you have never read the Patriot Act and you thought Habeas Corpus was a part of the human anatomy. 20. You believe that boycotting Leftist celebrities is an attack on free speech but burning books and newspapers by conservatives is the ultimate display of free speech. 21. You have no problem with the media and other Leftists questioning President Bush's National Guard service 30+ years ago, but John Kerry's fellow soldiers questioning his service 30+ years ago is an absolute disgrace. 22. You must believe that Israel is illegitimate because its borders were arbitrarily drawn whereas Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Jordan are legitimate although their borders were arbitrarily drawn (all formerly part of Ottoman Empire). 23. You believe that Israel should not exist because the British carved it of land belonging to Arabs but you have never questioned the existence of Pakistan, which the British carved out of land belonging to India. 24.
