It's always been my belief that some people just need the fuck slapped out of them occasionally. Say what you will, but physical violence is the only language some people comprehend. I know it always worked wonders with me!
As for CMS's motivational skills, I have to wonder if that isn't yet another aspect of the job he's learning on the fly. The reason I say that is I'm just not sure how much motivation he was responsible for in the positions he held in the NFL. He'd probably be surprised at the results he'd get from just going ape-shit fuckin' crazy every now and then. Damn all this buddy-buddy shit. Any time you hear the term "player's coach" used, it's bad news. John Hannah said the players from his era played as hard as they did simply because they were SCARED of Coach Bryant. Shula needs to put the fear of God in coaches and players alike. In other words...IAWTP! He is too young (makes me feel netter to say that) to emulate his daddy on the sideline and plus, as we found out with Stallings (or rather Stallings found out) motivating pro players is vastly different than motivating college boys. > ______________________________________________________ RollTideFan - The University of Alabama Athletics Discussion List Welcome to RollTideFan!
