I have a brother who lives in Raleigh that was thinking about making the game, but two of his five kids have the flu.
I am proud of the way that they hung in there and clawed their way back. Makes me optimistic about the rest of the season.

Well, I was at the game last night here in Charlotte, so I'll post my observations.
We shot really poorly the first 10-12 minutes. Even worse than you think. If it hadn't been for some layups and a dunk we would not have scored at all. By my count we were 0-8 from three land before hitting 3-4 to finish the half 4-12 behind the stripe.
UNCC is a really good team. They should be in the tournament again at the
end of the year. Their stud (#3 - Curtis Withers) should be playing at the
ACC level - how the ACC teams missed him and left him for Charlotte I'll
never know.
We didn't really beat them - we outlasted them. By the third overtime both
teams were exhausted and it showed in the decision making and the shooting.
As much as we lament our bench, the bench players at the SEC level are much
better than the bench players at the C-USA level, and that was the
difference in the game.
We also out-coached them - which is not a shot at Lutz, who is a hell of a coach, but a kudos to CMG.
Overall, one of the best bball games I've ever attended - and I go to the ACC tournament almost every year, so I consider that high praise.
