Hello WG, At the mic during the BFD session, there was a comment about "let's not do this alert discriminator".
The consequence of not doing the alert discriminator is that all usages of S-BFD will require protocol extensions to advertise S-BFD discriminators. Speaking with Greg and others after the session, we do have a consensus. - Let's not pursue the alert discriminator for now. - If the WG feel that this is needed at a later time, we can revive this mechanism. If anyone feels differently, please do chime in. Thanks! -Nobo
