Dear all:
Please note that at long last, we submitted an update of the ARC draft
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc-03.txt
This draft is an informative work that lays out the base concepts of the ARCs
technology.
The update adds indications on:
- OAM frames
- Application of MPLS and Segment Routing techniques to implement ARCs,
- reliable flooding over an ARC set,
- centralized ("SDN") computation and (microloop-less) update injection,
- problems that ARCs can help solve, such as Olympic Rings and multiple
failures (SRLG).
We also republished the ARC vs. MRT draft
(http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc-vs-mrt-01.txt ) as
a refresher, with no significant change.
Cheers,
Pascal

Subject: New Version Notification for draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc-03.txt
A new version of I-D, draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc-03.txt has been successfully
submitted by Pascal Thubert and posted to the IETF repository.
Name: draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc
Revision: 03
Title: Available Routing Constructs
Document date: 2015-01-22
Group: Individual Submission
Pages: 21
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc-03.txt
Status: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc/
Htmlized: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc-03
Diff: http://www.ietf.org/rfcdiff?url2=draft-thubert-rtgwg-arc-03
Abstract:
This draft introduces the concept of ARC, a two-edged routing
construct that forms its own fault isolation and recovery domain.
The new paradigm can be leveraged to improve the network utilization
and resiliency for unicast and multicast traffic in multiple
environments, and is optimized to compute short reroute paths in case
of breakages.
Please note that it may take a couple of minutes from the time of submission
until the htmlized version and diff are available at tools.ietf.org.
