Hi WG,

We presented draft-liu-rtgwg-sr-protection-considerations at the IETF 117 rtgwg
session and this is the second presentation of this draft. But currently we
have received very few feedback from the working group. The chairs suggested us
to collect more comments. We hope more experts of operators and vendors can
help to review this draft and provide more feedback in the mailing list.

This draft provides a comprehensive analysis of failure scenarios and
protection mechanisms in SR-MPLS and SRv6 networks,

along with considerations and deployment recommendations for different
application scenarios.

Draft link:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-liu-rtgwg-sr-protection-considerations/

The main points covered in this draft are as follows:

* Path protection and egress protection mechanisms that ensure the resilience
of the network against failures.

* Local and end-to-end protection mechanisms that provide robust protection for
network paths.

* Mechanisms and fault detection schemes for multi-homing egress protection.

* Recommendations for ensuring reliability in the deployment process of BE
(Best Effort) and TE (Traffic Engineering) services, whether in single or
multiple attachment scenarios.

* Deployment descriptions and recommendations for ensuring reliability
protection in SRv6 compression deployment within SRv6 networks.

We would greatly appreciated if you can provide comments.

Best Regards

Yisong
