In a recent decesion, Shri Rash Behari Datta v/s All India Radio, the CIC has imposed maximum penalty on the CPIO of All India Radio Directorate General New Delhi for eight months delay in supply of information.
Nothing that over 240 days delay had taken place, the CIC was not satified by the reply to the show cause notice. The penalty order states "Commission has decided to impose a penalty of Rs.25,000/- for a delay of more than 100 days upon Shri S.P. Bhattacharya, the CPIO & Dy.
