Dear Mr Chuggani Why must we presume that this is a bad step on the part of CIC?
1) Everyone knows that nothing really changes by going in review. 2) By going for a review you seriously weaken / restrict your grounds for appeal (please read the CPC). 3) Do we seriously want review for recent cases like where Mr.Habibullah had penalised the Delhi Police for Rs.50,000? Can you imagine Mr. Deependra Pathak running back to C'IC complaining "but I didnt receive a copy of the show cause notice, so please review your order". Now such penalised PIOs will have to go to a HC in Writ. --- In [email protected], "I K Chhugani" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Now, CIC order review only in courts > > In a move that smacks of bureaucratic red tapism, the Central > Information Commission (CIC) will no longer allow review of its > decisions.
