ABANDONED DILAPIDATED BUILDING AUTHORITIES MUM ON ADJOINING NEIGHBOUR'S
PLEADINGS; FOR THE SAKE OF HUMAN LIVES LIVING IN DANGER.

Respected Sir,
I have received a complaint from Mr. Kulwinder Ram S/o Sh. Sardari Lal resident
of V&PO Bhabiana, Tehsil Phagwara, Distt. Kapurthala that:

COMPLAINT AGAINST ABANDONED DILAPIDATED BUILDING OF MR. AJAIB SINGH (NRI) S/o
LATE MR. SWARN SINGH, V&PO BHABIANA, TEHSIL PHAGWARA, DISTT. kAPURTHALA HAS
BEEN MADE SEVERAL TIMES, but no action has been taken so far.
As the adjoining building of the complainant's house is in dilapidated
condition, so the residents of the adjoining building are living in tense and
in fear of danger of life due to the fall of the said building but no action
has been taken so far due to the callousness of the Government officials.
The requests had been made to the Village Panchayat to report the matter to the
authorities have failed.
The request is made to make inspection regarding the report. The Honourable
PSHRC for taking up the matter at the earliest.
As the building is very old made of small size brick called (Nanak shahi or
Lahori bricks). It can be certified structurally unsafe by any engineer so it
is requested that the said structure should be demolished. It may be called it
as a heritage building constructed by the fore fathers of the owner.
The building's structure has been severely damaged. The roofs of the building
has been fallen. In case there is tremor the whole of the building will fall on
the adjoining houses, so the life of the persons living in adjoining buildings
are in danger.
As the building is more than 100 years old. It is unsafe, beyond repair and
restoration is not possible. Sir, it should be demolished sooner. Sir, from the
last 25 years there is no one living in the building. As the building can fall
at any moment so WHY THE OWNER OF THE BUILDING IS RISKING SOMEONE'S LIFE?
The windows and doors have been broken. The said owner had got this dilapidated
building vacated about 25 years back due to its dilapidated condition and has
never come to see the condition of the building. On several requests he
rejected the appeals of the adjoining building occupants.
Kindly look in to the matter on the preferential basis for the sake of the
human lives living in danger.

Regards,
Yours truly,
