Can whoever wrote this provide me the details of 80 PIOs actually depositing the penalties levied against them by Shailesh Gandhi. At the end of the day virtually all these penalties are challenged in High Court or before the CIC at citizen taxpayers expense. It is very well known in CIC circles that there is a "penalty mafia" operating out of the Old JNU campus of CIC involving 3 ICs remaining there and their registry officers who are extorting money out of hapless low-level officers (non-PIOs) by these show cause notices. IC OP.Kejriwal's Registry was notorious for this until he was reined in, it seems his magic formula has been passed onto his 2 chelas of Old JNU.
