The Karnataka High Court topday has issued notices to Karnataka Government to
File objections if any on SUMMONS ISSUED BY KARNATAKA INFORMATION COMMISSION.

This Notice was an Sequel to the RTI Request made by Our Managing Truste Mr S
Amaresh Asking for Information on the Number of Ranji , one day Test Matches
which were played in 1990 in the Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium . Information has
also been sought on the Advertisements Dis[layed inside and outside the stadium
on Ongoing Basis as also during the Matches .
KSCA Refused to give information with an argument that it is not in the Ambit
of RTI . An Appeal was Filed in KIC . The KIC has Issued Summons to the KSCA
Secratry Mr Brijesh Patel . Mr Brijesh has now Approached the High Court asking
for a stay .
My Comments : Almost a year & half Back OneMr Kewal Semlani of Mumbai had asked
the Chief Engineer PWD Govt of Karnataka and had Received information that
thew land Belonged to Defence Dept and Was Granted to KSCA as Lease with
certain Conditions , one such being the Govt of Karnataka will Provide
Alternate land to Defence . The other condition was that KSCA will completly
Look after the Upbring of Cricket Game with Stadiums etc in all Other Places in
Karnataka .
My question : Can the High Court Entertain such Cases when the Karnataka
Information Commission has issued just a summons and no Decesion on the KSCA
being in the Ambit of RTI not at all Deceided (Sec 21 & 23)
