But my experience with Ms Gloria Kumar in 2006 was that of military dictator and rather non-assisting in release of information. She made me run from pillar to post citing various excuses in the matter of passport information of Munnabhai MD of AIIMS who had two passports with same number confirmed through FOIA of USA. And when she was asked to appear to represent her view, she sent acting passport officer for hearing in second hearing. In first hearing no one appeared.
Some of the people may have softness for Ms Kumar but the way she dealt with people sitting in Air-conditioned chamber was as if they are beggars. In fact MEA staff & Department of State of USA were more helpful than Ms Gloria Kumar.
