RTI to ATS on release of Railway Bomb blast accused
Background : There were two newspaper reports as below
1) Loksatta ( Indian Express Marathi edition ) dated 12/05/2008 :-
Indian Mujjahidin founder & 11 th July Railway bomb accused Sh. Sadiq Sheikh
was released by MOCCA court based on note given by Anti Terrorist Squad (
ATS) that they have not found any proof whatsoever about Sh. Sheikhs
involvement in the bomb blast.
2) ATS Police Inspector Sh.Mehboob Mujawar was arrested by Solapur
police for beating his neighbors after unlawful entry in their house &
stealing goods worth Rs 1 Lakh from the neighbors house. ( Sakal dated
17/04/2009)
Info requested & recd
1) Request Certified True copy of the note requesting release of Sh.
Sheikh from the accusation of involvement in bomb blasts to MOCCA court by
ATS.
2) Request Certified True Copy of the note filed by Sh. Rakesh Maria
accusing Sh. Sheikhs involvement in the bomb blasts.
3) I woiuld like to know a) The date / month/ year in which this
investigation was started by ATS & b) Date / month / year in which the
investigation was completed by ATS.
4) Would like to know the following details about the ATS staff who
participated in this investigation processname. post, batch/ employee
number.
5) Request list of all Mumbai ATS staff with following details :-- name
, post, batch/ employee number, staff working for more than 3 years , assets
declared to the govt including family assets.
6) Request following info about Sh. Mehboob Mujawar ATS Mumbai
a) Request Certified true copy of the accusation filed against him. b)
Steps taken, if any, by ATS Mumbai against him w.r.t this arrest ( for e.g.
temporary suspension from service pending enquiry) c) Would like to know
names of ATS staff who were arrested or who were accused of like Sh.
Mujawar.

1) Special MOCCA court Number 56 has a detailed report been filed by
ATS on 11.05.2009 & is a part of the court proceedings.
2) Not related with this department.
3) Investigation started on 21.02.2009 ; investigation was over on
06.05.2009
4) Info refused as per section 8 , 1
5) ATS has not replied to this item.
