Mr. K K Misra, Chief Information Commissioner ordered for disclosure of Assets
& Liability Declaration filed with the Government by two senior IAS Officers
viz., Mr. Chickmath and Mr. Zalki within 15 days. Petiioner Mr. Venkatesh Babu
had sought Assets & Liability Statement of two Senior IAS Officers workin in
the Labout Department of the Government. The DPAR (Services) who are the
custodians of the information denied the information. Thereafter a complaint
was filed before the Commission. While hearing the Petition KIC cautioned
DPAR for withholding the above information alothough clear orders were issued
by Karnataka High Court on a couple of cases.
