On reading about Press reports ( Sakal Dated June 21 , 2009) about Maharashtra State Government appointing Sh. K.P. Survanshi as head of ATS ( Anti Terrorist Squad) after HC Bombay took cognizance of the post lying vacant , I had asked the GAD Maharashtra State list of Vacant Post of Managers in State Police dept alongwith the period for which the posts are vacant.

Even posts in 2009 should have been planned to fill quite in advance since the Govt was aware of the retirement / transfer dates of the people who were in these posts earlier. Citing this RTI & reply recd from Home dept , I have written a letter to CJ Bombay HC, pointing out that the Maharashtra Govt has not learned any lesson after the 26/11 attacks & requesting him to give orders to Mah.
