Hello Venkatesh and others on this list. Am getting back after a few years in the boondocks, and hope to be 'active" by December this year again. A few of my early RTIs, on definition of Minorities, ambit of tolls and exemptions on public roads, definition of Muslim Citizen of India, and a few others are going to be resumed.
But more importantly, I had asked two of the active seekers of the Truth in India through RTI, the Catholic Church in all its glory and the Protesant Church of England which may include our friends at CHRI, to come clean themselves on adhering to the letter, chapter and verse of RTI. This clarion call by Venkatesh is as good a time as any to look around and see if those who cast a stone are in the first case free of guilt themselves? Would, for example, Section 7(3) or equivalent be applicable also to Russel Square in London as well as to The Secretarium in Rome? Veeresh Malik ps: is there, perhaps, yet another link between Kobad Ghandy and CHRI, as is being suggested in certain quarters? And does it go back to London days in the '60s?
