The history of socialism and communism shows nothing more than opportunism by
and in coordination with all other "-ism" including NGOism and capitalism. The
NGO sector (like the Public Sector??) is replaced in no small measure in
Kerala, North East/Manipur and also at one time in unified Bengal by the
various arms of the Churches, and in Bengal now by Islam. So spare us that
argument, Venkatesh.

Specifically on RTI - please do clarify once again on the steps taken by CHRi
and its assumed parent body, the Church of England as present in India, on
adhering to the RTI Act of India - which they so eagerly expect everybody else
to fall in line with.

And on veiled threats of cases filed for libel and defamation - there are two
main factors here - (a) you come to the Court with clean hands and (b) you
recognise the supreme sovereignity of the Court. You are out on both points, I
would think, right?

On the specific case of the toilets, great, congrats. Great victory of RTI. And
this is what you quote;-

""CHRI has trained NAK to use RTI strategically to hold public authorities
accountable for their decisions and actions. CHRI and NAK are collaborating to
spread awareness about RTI in Gujarat and monitor compliance of public
authorities with their transparency obligations under the RTI Act.""

Now, once again, has CHRI itself adhered to the basic tenets of the RTI Act of
India?

Thank you,

Veeresh Malik
