"UIDAI gets new address, to shift soon" The real story:- Nandan Nilekani has made himself hugely unpopular at Planning Commission. For every little thing he phones up PMO who contacts DCH (Dy Chairman PC - Montek) = now you know how resentful that makes the underlings. 2 weeks back, the PC's admin officers landed up with locks to boot UIDAI out from Yojana Bhawan - only a panic call from NN to PM averted the situation "temporarily". And yet, this irrepprisble fellow continues to peddle new stories in the media every day (type UIDAI into google news). The deal is - walk into his office - leave your PR kit and a little gift, and your UIDAI project is touted on TV as the next best thing after sliced bread by NN - ie. ill the next little package comes along.
