Dear Sarabjit When this group was formed in 2006 we were clear that it would be a platform for true and correct free speech for individual citizens for Right to Information Act 2005 and ancillary matters. that this is the only such group in whole of India is trubute to its members and superlative moderation.
One or 2 persons here did not like what I wrote about Mr Habibullah. It was voiced on their behalf by Venkatesh Nayak of CHRI. previously on 21.Sep.2009 in " RE: Re: 3 new Full bench decsions of CIC" he had admitted that CHRI is a foreign funded agency and advocacy group ( controlled out of London ) which seeks to give "the best defence allowed at law" to people accused on serious crimes against the nation. These are the same people (some of their Board members) who defended Syed Gilani, Mohammed Afzal Guru and those who attacked India's Parliament. Their close associate Arundhati Roy said this ""What is the hurry? The man is locked up in a high-security cell on death row. He is not allowed out of his cell for even five minutes a day. What harm can he do? Talk? Write, perhaps? Surely, even in Advani's own narrow interpretation of the term, it is in the national interest not to hang Afzal? At least not until there is an inquiry that reveals what the real story is and who actually attacked parliament?" This is in the context of a conviction upheld by the Supreme Court of India. CHRI are the people who pleaded strongly for repeal of POTA which allows ISI sponsored terrorists to attack Parliament with impunity It is hardly surprising that these foriegn finance RTI groups are preachnig about RTI Act and ignoring their own statements prime among them being (in case of traitor Ujjwal Dasgupta) "His trial is stayed because of the government's refusal to provide him access to documents he believes to be crucial to his defence. This despite the Delhi High Court ordering their disclosure. This is the matter we are assisting with.". So CHRI , Venkatesh Nayak, Shekhar Singh believes that CIC is more powerful that a High Court. First before assisting anyone assist yourselfs first and disclose the entire financing which CHRI and N.C.P.RI gets from foreign sources. I am happy that this group still consists mainly of the individual voiceless citizens whose voice is being drown out in din and clangs of these foreign spies. This last bastille of free speech must always continue.
