NOW HE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED PENDING ENQUIRY FOR HAVING WRITTEN IN LOCAL NEWS PAPERS AS WELL AS SPOKEN IN FAVOR OF RTI . THE DISTRICT HEALTH OFFICER OF HAVERI DISTRICT (FAX 08375-249009 , EMail : [email protected]) IN THIS SUSPENSION ORDERS NO SL.NO/STAFF-2?273/2009-10 DATED 10/2/2010 HAS CLEARLY STATED THAT SPEAKING ABOUT RTI ARE INFLAMMATORY SPEECHES (PRACHODANKARI). Now What did our Fellow activist RajShehkar Write or Speak . He Said Using Swami Vivekanada's World Famous Saying " Arise ! Awake! Desh Premi bharathiya's use RTI and ward off Corruption" Is this Inflammatory and Instigation ? I am aware that Several Government TOP Officials are Now Delivering Speeches that People to use RTI to ensure Corruption is Contained . classic Example is of Our Lokayuktha Justice Santhosh Hegde. Some of these Officers have written about RTI in News Papers/Magazines etc , Some Have Been Quoted that it is the Best Tool to Get Information . A Few IAS /IPS officers have Used RTI to get Information only to Protect and absolve Themselves of Corruption Charges . In such a suiation is Speaking and Writing On RTI Inflammatory and instigation . On Whom ! Why ? This is Sheer Intolerance. The Suspension Order Further Goes On to Speak That People are Being Put into Commotion , Turmoil because of Such speeches and Writings> Is this independent India or British India . RTI Is an-statutory Citizens Democratic Right to Be Informed about Matters of Governance and Places the Onus of Government to Function And Conduct its Dealings Comprehensible and Transparent to General Public
