Hello Daniel, I am not in agreement with Sarbajit. Also , I am very uncomfortable with the "RTI activist" label. I am not sure about attacks , but I do have a very strange story .
I am charge sheeted for IPC 504, 506 for making RTI applications and the very police station that charge sheeted me was responsible for a police circular directing that no police personnel , should ever visit the information seeker 's house or ask him/ her to visit the police station for getting any information. Despite the fact the RTI act does not provide for a penal provision under the Indian Penal Code , I am facing a maliciuos criminal proceedings. In order to fight this vexatious proceedings , I have filed a CrpC 340 Application in the same court , which is read as " OFFENCES AFFECTING THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUCTICE" . Even though several members in the group suggested that I approach the High court and get the criminal proceedings quashed , instead I preferred the 340 route only for the reason , others can also use the same when hit by such acts filled with malice. Please let me know if you would like to know more about the case or any one in the group , would like to file a 340 application , I can send a draft of the same.
