Dear Friends and/or Members For the last 4 or 5 months we have been taking steps to improve the quality of messages / discourse on this group. The Moderators (invariably I) have been rude and obnoxious on various occasions in enforcing rules for our collective benefit - especially to ensure that our group's coherent signal does not get drowned out in the noise.
A side-effect of this radical policy has been that genuine RTIers have been reluctant to post messages on RTI_India, not wanting to be tarred by the same brush used to blacken the faces of our habitual misusers. Let me assure our genuine / responsible RTIers that they have nothing to fear from posting here. There are important issues to be discussed, for eg. a) DOPT's circular on 3rd party information b) Does IC Shailesh Gandhi have the moral authority to oppose DOPT's proposed RTI Act amendments?
