Oh I see.. 

I didn't catch they were *old* examples.. 
I see now the /v1api/ subdir is indicating V1 compat only.

I thought the '1' was an 'l', and just figured it was an abbreviation
I didn't recognize, eg. "vlapi", "atapi", something like that %^)

Hope they are someday brought up to date with the newer API
for the sake of others starting out; I find those 'parallel' examples 
particularly useful.
