Costa: Look at bttv support or video4linux or any support for the Brooktree 878 chip. The bt 878 is a single chip video acquisition / PCI interface device. It is used on many commercial frame grabbers as well as Happauge WinGoTV cards which are very inexpensive (~$50 US). Brooktree has been purchased and the company that now owns the Brooktree chips call themselves Conexant. I was able to download the bt878 specifications and write a driver / rtl process for my limited needs.
